Privacy Policy: Leadlaya Connector

Leadlaya Connector ("the extension") is a Chrome extension that links your Upwork account to your Leadlaya client portal account at onboard.leadlaya.com. It is operated by Leadlaya ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the extension handles and why.

What the extension does

When you choose "Connect Upwork" in your Leadlaya portal, the extension opens Upwork's own sign-in and permission page. After you approve access on Upwork, the extension completes the connection and sends it to your Leadlaya account. The toolbar icon shows whether your Upwork account is currently connected.

Information we handle

• Upwork authorization credentials. When you approve access, Upwork issues access credentials (tokens) that let Leadlaya act on your Upwork account within the permissions you approved. The extension passes these to the Leadlaya server, which stores them in encrypted form and associates them with your Leadlaya account.
• Connection status and sign-in registration. The extension saves your connection status and Upwork sign-in registration details locally in your browser, so the popup and the portal can show whether you are connected. This stays in your browser's extension storage.
• One-time link code. To tie the connection to the right Leadlaya account, the portal issues a short-lived, single-use code that the extension includes when it completes the connection.

Information we do not collect

• We never see or store your Upwork password. You enter it only on Upwork's own page.
• The extension does not read, record or track your browsing history, page contents or activity on other websites.
• The extension does not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools.

How we use information

We use the connection solely to provide the Leadlaya features you signed up for, such as the tools in your portal that work with your Upwork account. We do not sell your information, and we do not use or transfer it for advertising, for credit or lending decisions, or for any purpose unrelated to these features.

Sharing

We share information only with service providers that help us operate Leadlaya (such as hosting and the AI processing used by portal features), under obligations to protect it, or when required by law. We do not sell your data to third parties.

Limited Use

Our use of information received from Upwork will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Retention and your choices

We keep your Upwork connection until you disconnect it or ask us to delete your data. You can disconnect at any time from your Leadlaya portal, and you can also remove the extension from Chrome, which deletes the data it stores in your browser. You can revoke Leadlaya's access from your Upwork account settings. To request deletion of the data we hold, contact us at the address below.

Security

Upwork credentials are transmitted over HTTPS and stored encrypted on our servers. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, if the change is significant, let you know through the portal.
